  • Following updated legislation requiring all buildings over 18m to require a second staircase, the Old Brompton Road plans need to be revised. We are now bringing the Old Brompton Road development into the main masterplan, reviewing the proposals to enhance the public realm and landscape connections between the OBR site and the masterplan site. 
  • OBR will be included as an outline part of the hybrid planning application to be submitted in June of this year with a detailed planning application to come forward in due course.
  • We know how important this site is to the local community and are turning our attention to appropriate temporary activations which can take place.

These applications seek to extend the existing temporary use of the properties along Lillie Road (The Gallery, Pedal Back, Dads House, The Pop Up, The Hoarder and The Prince). Planning permission was originally granted in October 2017 and extended in 2020.

In view of the continued success of these uses we are seeking a further temporary period of 3 years, so that they can continue to contribute to the vibrancy of Lillie Road and to compliment the ongoing programme of meanwhile uses we host on site which include the BBC Earth Experience and Padel on EC2, Empress Studios, The Lost Estate etc.
